The Decay of Time – Part III – the final work in The Trilog of Time: Decay. Conceived and drawn by Mihai Ionescu and executed by Emanoil Marinescu, the painting features elements characteristic of Surrealism, with time and its passing as the central theme. The main subject of the works is the ephemeral human being. Clocks, another key element of the paintings, convey a powerful message, further intensified by the desolate setting. The painting is part of the opening collection of the gallery “TDV ART by Mihai Ionescu” – the world’s first known 24/7 commercial art gallery. Together, all three paintings form a unique collection.
