Contest Edition 1 - 2025
The First International Bionantism Art Contest, held between September 10th and November 10th, 2025, concluded with remarkable success, bringing together over 1,000 participants from Romania and abroad.
The total prize fund of $2,000 was increased by an additional 10%, allowing the gallery to reward a larger number of deserving artists.
According to the contest rules, TDV ART by Mihai Ionescu reserved the right to split the prizes initially assigned to the 2nd and 3rd places, in order to grant more distinctions.
1st Prize – Grand Award ($1,000)
Răceanu Mihai-Adrian – for the Bionantism reinterpretation of Michelangelo’s La Pietà.
The jury appreciated the strong technical execution, the coherent integration of organic–mechanical structures, and the artist’s mature understanding of co-genesis within the Bionantism theme.
Although the artwork includes human faces — an element generally avoided by the theme and permitted only in exceptional cases — the reinterpretation was masterfully achieved and fully justified the Grand Prize.
Special Mentions – $200 each
Awarded for excellence, originality, and dedication to artistic creation:
- Constantin Andrușca – Scorpion and Butterfly (metalwork)
- Matei Jiman – The Heavy Seed, The Open Flower
- Daniel Cîmpeanu – The Honeycomb
Mentions – $150 each
Granted for artistic involvement and the willingness to explore the theme of Bionantism:
- Wiktoria Zając (Poland) – The Butterfly
- Miruna’s ART Corner – Art & Design – Finches
- Gherghuș Mihai – Urban Woodpecker
- AlessAlicia (Poland) – Photosynthesis in Bionantism

The winners were announced on November 21st, 2025, during the 1-year anniversary celebration of TDV ART by Mihai Ionescu.
