About us
Located right in the heart of Bucharest, TDV ART Gallery by Mihai Ionescu is the first known commercial art gallery in the world open 24/7. A unique space where contemporary art meets imagination and is accessible to visitors at any time of the day or night. The gallery was initially launched under the name Tablouri de Vis by Mihai Ionescu and has evolved through a rebranding process into its current identity, while preserving the same vision: art should always be present, available anytime and for anyone. Visitors can explore an impressive collection of paintings created by established artists and emerging talents, available to be purchased as unique artistic gifts or for special occasions. Among the exhibited works, the gallery hosts a permanent collection dedicated to Bionantism, an innovative artistic theme defined by Mihai Ionescu, which explores the cogenesis between technology and nature. This cogenesis is not added afterwards but is present from the very origin, with organic and mechanical elements conceived as parts of the same entity.
Here you can admire paintings by renowned Romanian contemporary artists such as Horațiu Mălăele, Cristian Doru Deliu, Ion Hultoana, Răzvan Alexandrescu, Nicolae Blei, Ion Șeban, Alexandru Ghinea, George Barbu, Elena Bissinger, Aldyn Alexander, Andrei Damo, Emanoil Marinescu, Florentin Max, Corneliu Drăgan-Târgoviște, Botan Ghe. Vlad, Mihai Ionescu, Sergiu Grapă, Emil Ciubotaru, Ioana Stana, and many others.
Since its opening, the gallery has attracted tens of thousands of visitors, with a constant presence day and night, and has hosted dozens of group and solo exhibitions. Over time, thousands of artworks have been exhibited in continuous rotation, created by hundreds of Romanian and international artists. The space has also featured exhibitions dedicated to major figures in art history, such as Nicolae Grigorescu, Ștefan Luchian, Jean-Jacques Henner, and Jean-Baptiste Le Prince, as well as charitable events, community-focused projects, television programs, and cultural film productions. A defining feature of the gallery is its policy of 0% commercial markup on artworks.
